ABOUT US
Clay Space is an inclusive artistic community where those of all skill levels can learn and grow together. We strive to build a welcoming community by promoting creativity, connections, and lifelong learning.

Clay Space opened in April 2008 as a location for area ceramic artists to develop their skills in a professional and supportive environment. We have evolved into a facility that offers learning and working opportunities for other disciplines as well. These include mosaics, tile, jewelry, mixed media, painting and drawing. Clay Space changed ownership in 2021. The new owners, Denise and Kevin, are working to build the community and continue the tradition of clay and artistic exploration.
The Facility
Clay Space is an art center and ceramic facility located on the west side of Eugene, Oregon. We have Shimpo Whisper wheels, large work tables, lockers, clay extruders, slab rollers, a spray booth, colored slips, glazes and oxides; kilns, including three electric, two gas, and a portable raku kiln; a lighted photo shoot area and a wood-fired pizza oven. A classroom, a gallery, private studio spaces, and the main studio area fill the 7600 square foot space. We are a one level facility and handicapped accessible.
